Geiger Counter

Geiger Counter is a game system for Survival Horror. It was designed to do two things: 1) emulate movies in which most of the main characters eventually die and 2) perform really well in single-session play, such as a pick-up or convention game. This game requires a bunch of six-sided dice. I use about 20-30 dice of one color for the main characters and 8 dice of a different color for the menace. You will also need a large sheet of paper (I often tape six sheets of computer paper together into a giant rectangle), copies of the play sheet included at the end of this booklet, and a small number of unique tokens to represent the major characters. This is a beta version. Playsheets can be found at http://bleedingplay.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/geiger-beta-sheet.pdf [more info]

House of Reeds

This is a role-playing game about a home. In this home lives a family, or a succession of families. You’ll draw the home and watch as it changes with the family over the years. You will need a good-sized sheet of paper to draw on, pencils, and something on which to record characters (index cards are good). A big pile of 10-sided dice is helpful but not necessary. You'll also need to print and cut out the game cards, or transcribe them onto something. [more info]

The Mind of Margaret

In the Mind of Margaret you’ll explore the life of a single person through the various emotions that make up their personality. Think the 90s sitcom "Herman’s Head" or the Disney/Pixar film "Inside Out". During the game you’ll establish various dilemmas for this person, explore their internal psyche as it tries to decide how to respond in order to achieve their goals, and observe how the results of that response further affects the person and their psyche. In the end, single-faceted traits will combine to form a multi-faceted hero! [more info]

Lords of Titania

A GM-less game for 3-5 players. The game is set on Titania, a huge colony ship drifting through deep space towards… somewhere. A central biosphere generates food, oxygen and recycles water for hundreds of habitation pods floating at the end of trailing umbilical connections. Each habitation pod is ruled by a family, lords of their domain. Lords of Titania is the story of the downfall of one such family. You will play the flawed rulers of a habitation pod; a family enclosed by Nature and divided by their own natures. Each of you will control a particular component of the pod and you will use that control to gain power over your family members. This will not go smoothly. There will be oath-breaking, betrayal and murder, and an exile will return to seek vengeance. But if you survive… How sweet will your victory be then. [more info]
