Forum:
I don't know about you, but I'm just using Latest Comments, and I noticed that when I edit one of my old posts, it reappears as a new post which seems like a weird behavior.
Seems like the sorting is on last updated, and not the creation date.
Mac Firefox, if that makes any difference. :)
That was not true of "Latest
webtech - Tue, 01/19/2021 - 02:40That was not true of "Latest Topics" or "Latest Comments" (in the sidebar), but it was true of the "Active Topics" button up top, so I assumed you meant that.
Now it's sorting by latest comment time, descending.
I edited a post
Rickard - Tue, 01/19/2021 - 10:14I couldn't upload an image, so I will link to a screenshot instead:
I edited the post, clicked Save, and it appeared in the sidebar under Latest Comments.
Nailed it. Thanks for the pic
webtech - Wed, 01/20/2021 - 05:32Nailed it. Thanks for the pic. The query was tangled: instead of sorting by latest comments directly, it was sorting by *topics which had* the latest comments. That has now been fixed!
Update
webtech - Tue, 02/02/2021 - 17:04Update: The "Latest Topics" list in the forum sidebar now says "NEW" if there's new or updated content in the thread.
