I may need a mechanic for character change in a PTA-like game. I wish to cover various aspects of that with as little complexity as possible.
Character in the eyes of the audience
Character learning a skill, acquiring a resource : based on verisimilitude
Character revealing a power, a goal, changing concept : much more brutal, highlights Change as a theme (typically in stories for kids and teenagers)
Mechanics I can use :
A hard status mechanic (secondary character vs protagonist, iawa payroll)
Define mail : acquiring aspects other players see or want in the character.
Simple character rewrite / Nudge (eg : writing character arc milestones)
What do I forget ?
Do you see a way to take care of two effects with one mechanic ?
